We work primarily with entrepreneurially-oriented real estate owners and developers that see value in adding a Managing Director of Finance to their team that can execute all capital raising activities without incurring any corporate overhead.
The firm was created after experiencing 15 years of frustration with the traditional capital brokerage model. As former owners, we would hire capital brokers to raise debt and equity for us. As former lenders, capital brokers were our clients bringing us deals.
Unlike the traditional capital brokerage model, as former owners and lenders, we have the aptitude to do more than just facilitate introductions to capital providers and offload the work back onto your team. Meaning of Skylatus
Skylatus is a combination of two words: “Sky” and “Pilatus”. “Pilatus” is derived from Mount Pilatus which is a mountain near Lucerne, Switzerland that peaks at around 7,000 feet. In 1890, before modern machinery existed, a hotel named Pilatus-Kulm was built on the peak of the mountain. The company was named Skylatus to pay homage to the entrepreneurial determination and hard work that made this incredible real estate project in the sky a reality.
